Mick needs to know asap those that are interested in any of the above so that I can hire a boat and book accommodation. If enough of you are interested I can hire the boat I need 12 to do that then we can dictate what we dive.
The weekend in mind is October the 4th and 5th. Please reply to Mick so that it can be organised. Costs to follow.

Latest News - 31/3/2008

Well as the diving season gets under way, be sure to check the list on the website for forthcoming planned dives.

Leisureworld - As you are probably aware, they are installing parking barriers. But do not fear as they will not be in use at the time we go on a friday evening. They are really just there to stop people parking at Leisureworld for free then walking into town. Also, they are going to be closing the bar earlier, so we will find an alternative for after diving - maybe the Albert or the ten pin bowling bar. Watch this space!

For fridays at the pool, please remember it's "Pay before you enter!" There is a new pool marshalling list on the website.

Pat is thinking about arranging diving at St. Abbs in June. So if you're interested, please contact Pat.

Next year's annual dinner will be held at Birch Grove Golf Club in January 2009 - exact date to be confirmed.

New Venue for End of Year Dinner

We have looked at a possible new venue for the Club end of year dinner. The venue is Birch Grove golf club. The cost for a sit down served 3-4 course meal and the venue and disco would be approximately £25. The committee needs a response from all members if this would be acceptable as we need to make all the necessary arrangements. It is not a set menu but a multiple choice menu. Can you please let us know if you want us to go ahead and book. We really need a response from you all even if it is a no. It is not that we are asking anybody to commit to coming to the dinner more to find out if the change of venue is acceptable

Car Parking at the pool

The new parking arrangements at Leisure World will come in to place on the 14th April. It doesn’t affect us using the pool at night but you will have to go through the barriers, take a ticket and place the same ticket into the barrier on your exit.
